Atlanta Thrashers
Facilitated
in strategic marketing sessions with the Atlanta Thrashers, the
NHL expansion team awarded to Atlanta in 1997. We helped launch
the Blue Line Club, a priority seating system for season ticket
holders. In addition, we created a ticket sales staffing structure
and recruited candidates for the positions of Director of Ticket
Sales and Ticket Operations Manager.

Committee for the Olympic Games
Created
and managed all aspects of ticket sales for the Atlanta Organizing
Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG), and was honored by the IOC
with the Golden Rings
Bike Roswell!
As a part of the Executive Committee of Bike Roswell, Peloton Sports
crafted a multi-year action plan for the advocacy group to incorporate
into its application as a Bicycle Friendly Community. Peloton Sports
also provided communications consultation services for the national
award application process, which garnered the City of Roswell a Bronze
designation by the League
of American Bicyclists in fall of 2006 . The City of Roswell becomes
the first city in Georgia to be recognized nationally as a Bicycle

Professional
Disc Golf
Working with the Recreation and Parks Department of the City of Roswell,
Peloton Sports managed publicity and marketing services for their
first ever Professional Disc Golf tournaments, held in 2005. Disc
golf is one of the fastest growing recreational sports in the world
and the Professional Disc Golf Association (www.pdga.com)
has over 16,000 members. An 18-hole course has been built at East
Roswell Park in Roswell, Ga., and Peloton Sports helped generate publicity
for the course, as well as the tournaments.
Tour de Georgia
Peloton Sports has been involved with the Tour de
Georgia for three of the first four races. As North America’s
premier, professional cycling event and rolling festival, Peloton
Sports has managed all media relations and communications services
for the Tour. Results have generated national and international exposure
for Tour sponsors, host cities and the event’s beneficiary,
the Georgia Cancer Coalition (http://www.georgiacancer.org).
USA Cycling Professional Championships
Peloton Sports was contracted to oversee all
media relations activities and Public Relations for the USA Cycling
Professional Championships just two months prior to the event. All
content for the website was written and sourced by Peloton Sports.
Over 26 press releases and media updates were created and distributed,
generating 200 print and broadcast stories locally and nationally
for 94 million impressions.
BI-LO
Center
The
Bi-Lo Center, a new 17,000 seat arena in Greenville, South Carolina,
hired Jack to review ticket software options. We provided a formal
recommendation and submitted an assessment overview. The arena is
the home of the East Coast Hockey Leagues newest franchise
team, the Greenville Growl.
1998 Commonwealth Games
Provided
SUKOM 98, the organizing committee of the 1998 Commonwealth Games,
a comprehensive ticket marketing and operations plan. This international
event took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from September 11 - 21,
1998. We assessed all ticket strategies and provided recommendations
to increase revenue and maximize attendance for all the 15 scheduled
sports.
1998
Goodwill Games
Managed
all ticket sales and operational facets of the 1998 Goodwill Games
in New York City and Long Island, NY. Three on-site project
managers were assigned to plan and execute spectator marketing initiatives.
A detailed ticket sales and marketing business plan was written
and implemented over an 18-month period. We interfaced with
all functional departments during the planning phase, facilitated
contracts with strategic partners and managed all Games period ticket
operations for sports and entertainment venues.
Charlie
Yates Golf Course at East Lake
Created
first strategic marketing program for this Atlanta public golf course,
with an advertising and publicity campaign in 2003 that increased
tee times and overall revenue numbers at the facility by 20% from
the previous year. Managed Rewards Card Program for frequent golfers,
with successful communications and member tracking using an electronic
newsletter.
GOLFLEX TECHNOLOGIES
Provided
a full media relations program and public relations plan for the
launch of business in the United States. Golflex Technologies is
based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
St. Pete Times Forum
Recruited
a Director of Ticket Operations at The Ice Palace, home of the Tampa
Bay Lightning, a National League Hockey team. The 19,500-seat Ice
Palace is located on the Garrison Channel in downtown Tampa, Florida.
Johns
Creek Georgia State Criterium Championships
Created
sponsorship program and sold two levels of corporate packages. Managed
all media and public relations for this regional event on the National
Racing Calendar.
Major
League Baseball
Rewrote
the post-season ticket policies for the Special Events department
within the Commissioner's office of Major League Baseball. An
action plan was created and a committee of MLB ticket managers was
formed to complete the process of policy review. The new policies
and procedures became effective in 1999.
Major League Soccer
Participated
in Major League Soccer's annual league meetings in 1997. A
situation analysis was prepared and submitted that outlined strengths
and weaknesses of the league's approach to ticket sales and marketing.
Specific recommendations were made in the areas of branding and
awareness, ticket products, group sales, ticket software and direct
marketing vs. advertising.
Managed
and supervised all marketing, sponsorship sales, public relations
and volunteer services for this professional bicycle race on the
National Racing Calendar. The NHRC has surpassed sponsorship expectations
by 30% and generated over 3 million impressions with local and national
media coverage.
National Association of Professional
Baseball Leagues
Researched
and published a study that identified the best ticket sales programs
in Minor League Baseball. All 150 teams participated and a
200-page comprehensive report was produced. This report was made
available to all minor league teams as a reference guide.
Managed all hospitality programs and sales for THE
TOUR Championship, presented by Coca-Cola, surpassing sales goals
in 2 of 3 years. The season-ending championship showcases the Top
30 money winners on the PGA TOUR and has a permanent home at
East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA. Hospitality programs developed
by Peloton Sports are still being used by the Championship today.
1999
Pan American Games
Provided
a wide range of consulting services in 1997 to the 1999 Pan American
Games. We recruited, helped select and trained industry professionals
for the positions of Ticket Sales Manager and Ticket Distribution
Manager. A detailed spectator marketing business plan was
written outlining market specific ticket sales and operations strategies.
We have consulted in the areas of ticket software selection, timelines,
budgeting and forecasting, ticket distribution and fulfillment,
venue planning, vendor contracts, special sales and marketing. Billed
as the largest multi-sport event ever held in Canada, the Pan Am
Games took place in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The
People's Princess Charitable Foundation
Managed
all ticket sales activities for the Washington, DC kick-off exhibition
of the "Dresses for Humanity" Tour. Produced by The People's
Princess Charitable Foundation, this exhibit featured dresses owned
by the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Jack was responsible for a
detailed spectator marketing business plan, hiring staff, selecting
the ticket system and handling the comprehensive ticket operation
at the Ronald Reagan Building.
Salt
Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games
Supervised
media operations for the Olympic News Service group. Media advisories,
press conference highlights and athlete interviews were compiled,
edited and distributed on a special intranet for media at the Main
Media Center and at outdoor venues for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
Pittsburgh
Pirates
Assist
with recruitment of a new Director of Ticket Sales for the Pittsburgh
Pirates. This major league baseball team plays at Three Rivers Stadium
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the Central Division of the National
League.
St. John's University
Developed
and moderated a ticket sales workshop examining marketing initiatives
for St. John's sports programs including men's and women's basketball,
soccer and football. Emphasis was placed on creating programs to
enhance student and alumni involvement.
Provided
a full media relations strategy and implemented the plan to aid
the Suicide Prevention Advocacy Network, based in Marietta, GA,
with the launch of both national and local programs.
Sydney Organising Committee for
the Olympic Games
Provided
recommendations for ticket sales upper management and assisted in
the ticket software selection process. Also provided detailed information
regarding overall ticket sales and operations strategies specific
to the Olympic Games environment.
Texas Rangers
Hired
by the Texas Rangers to provide ticket sales promotional ideas during
September 1997, the month with traditionally the lowest demand due
to the start of the football season. A ticket sales goal was
determined and achieved due to the promotions suggested.

Provided
strategic advice for bidding for an Olympic Games ticket project.
We helped assess the request for proposal and quantify resources
necessary for Ticketeck to manage the initiative. Also helped
establish relationships that led to the successful awarding of the
project.
Uncle
Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
Handled
all marketing and public relations for this agri-tainment complex
in Dawsonville, Ga, surpassing expectations for revenue generation
and media exposure by 24% in the first year. Recognized for outstanding
public relations campaign in 2003 and 2004 with a Certificate of
Excellence by the Public Relations Society of America, Georgia Chapter.
United Parcel
Service
Managed
public relations programs for UPS as a Worldwide Partner for the
2000 Sydney Olympic Games – the Olympic Sports Legacy program
(national initiative), IOC invitation delivery program in Lausanne,
Switezerland and Athlete Training Assistance Program (international
initiative). Coordinated strategic media relations program for UPS
region offices and international divisions.
United States Tennis Association
Consulted
to recruit a new Ticket Sales Manager for the US Open, produced
annually by the United Stated Tennis Association at the Arthur Ashe
Stadium in Flushing, New York.
WUSA
Managed
group and season ticket sales initiatives for all eight teams in
the league in the inaugural season for the Women’s Unites
Soccer Association. Over 50 ticket sales programs were created for
the league and individual teams.
Women's
World Cup
Participated
in the Women's World Cup 99 planning sessions to determine the direction
of ticket sales efforts in all available markets. Subsequently,
we wrote a plan to distribute tickets to youth in the New York/New
Jersey market as part of Women's World Cup's commitment to young
people in the world's largest women's-only sports event. In
addition, we set up a system for group sales aimed at corporate
customers in all markets.
World
Golf Championships- American Express Championship
Managed all hospitality programs and sales for
the American Express Championship, played for the first time in
the U.S. at the Capital City Club’s Crabapple Course in
Woodstock, Ga. Also provided media relations assistance for Tiger
Woods press conference and placed advertorials in local newspapers
to promote the event.
Provided
photography and media relations support for Ken Blackburn, author
of the World Record Paper Airplane Book, during his new world record
(indoors, time aloft) at the Georgia Dome in 1998. Continue to provide
