ALPHARETTA, Ga. (January 15, 2012) – Peloton Sports, Inc., which provides public relations strategies and communications solutions for sports and entertainment properties, teams/leagues and sponsors, has renewed its contract for a second season with the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah professional cycling race. Jackie Tyson, the owner of Peloton Sports, will oversee all media relations and media operations activities for the Tour of Utah. This internationally sanctioned event, known as “America’s Toughest Stage RaceTM”, will be held August 7-12, 2012, sanctioned by USA Cycling Inc. and the Union Cycliste Internationale.

 

Last year, Peloton Sports helped the Tour generate a 78% increase in requests for media credentials for race week and pre-event press conference. And total media coverage for the Tour, including broadcast, online and print, increased 102% from the previous year along, using a comprehensive public relations program.

 

The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah enters its eighth year of competition in 2012, showcasing the best cycling talent across 400 miles of scenic and challenging terrain of the western Rocky Mountains. It is now one of the top four stage races for professional cyclists in North America, with sanctioning by the UCI as a 2.1-rated stage race. Peloton Sports will continue to implement a thorough media relations plan and manage content for the race web site and social media platforms.
